 This list denotes the athletics events in which men are most dominant, relative to women. It is ranked from 1 to 5, with 1 being the event that men perform best in compared to women. The Women’s and Men’s World Records are the distances and times that are being compared here.

 It is worth pointing out that several events weren’t considered for this list due to discrepancies between the men’s and women’s events. These include all throwing events, 50km walk, hurdles events, the steeplechase and multi events. These men’s and women’s events can’t be compared due to differing weight, heights or lengths.
